Swami Vivekananda Biography

Spiritual guru Swami Vivekananda was born as Narendra Nath Datta on 21 January 1863 in the Kayastha caste of Calcutta.

Vivekananda had a deep attachment to Hinduism and spirituality. His guru's name was Ramakrishna Paramhansa.

He belonged to an upper-middle class family. He was sent to a Western-style university to complete his studies, where he was given information about Western Philosophy, Science etc.

On 4 July 1902, near Kolkata, at the age of only 39, he merged with the Panchatattvas but left behind many ideas.
